A Mother’s Child

He fought for freedom, he fought for his

Country, His rank was Private First

Class in the United States Army.

He knew the mission as he went into

the service, His mom looked at him,

he could tell she was nervous.

It was a choice he wanted to do cause if

he had a child, he would be someone

they could look up to.

When they got called to go to Iraq, his

family was in fear that he may

never come back.

As you are all mourning at his wake,

he knew as a soldier the risk he

was about to take.

Though he may not have been a soldier

I knew, I felt he wanted me to

write this and close with….

“Mom, I Love You!”

For Wendy, who lost her son in Iraq,
