7 WordPress Plugins Every Small Business Should Have

To make life a little easier for all of you I decided to compile a list of the 7 most useful WordPress plugins I’ve found. These are all free, easy to install, and are actually worth it. Trust me, I’ve done the legwork.

1. All in One SEO Plugin –

This very intuitive plugin makes SEO simple and easy to understand – even for my grandma! It can help you add descriptions to your post, tags, keywords and many other components that search engines will definitely find relevant.

2. Google XML Sitemaps –

Getting Google to find and rank your site is basically the biggest concern that most sites have. The easiest way to guarantee Google will crawl your pages and then properly rank and file them is to have a xml sitemap. Since I know almost no coding, this plugin was a lifesaver.

3. W3 Total Cache –

This is one of the most popular plugins – and I can tell you why. Faster websites mean happier visitors, which mean more customers, which mean more money in your pocket. This is a quick and painless way to make your site run faster and require much less CPU processing time.

4. Shrimp Test –

If you’re not A/B testing your websites by now, you should be ashamed! This plugin makes it easy to test things like page order, photos, sign up boxes, copy, etc.

5 . Feedburner –

This one especially good for anyone who has a blog (and doesn’t everyone these days?!). It creates custom feeds for your posts so people can “follow” your blog and get updates. Best way to get a large following is by doing this – so download now!

6. Broken Link Checker –

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY likes clicking on dead links. Make it a habit to check these once a month or so and make sure you’re not making any potential customers angry.

7. Cool Author Box –

Use this to create a custom box at the end of your posts or certain pages that can direct people to your facebook, twitter, YouTube, etc pages and ramp up followers. Never miss an oppurtunity to grow your brand with this plugin.
