The following 3 products are essential to getting rid of dog hair in the home or vehicle. Dog Hair is notoriously difficult to remove do to it’s ability to statically cling to almost all fabric materials other than hard leather. However, with these 3 products it is possible to rid your home or vehicle of dog hair.
The Swiffer- Uncarpeted Floors are easiest to clean free of dog hair. However, vacuuming or sweeping will often send some dog hair into the air. The best method for getting dog hair off the floor is the Swiffer Dry sweeping cloths. You will need the Swiffer sweeper for this but it’s relatively inexpensive and very worthwhile for ridding your home of dog hair. The Swiffer cloths attract dirt, dust and hair and while you might need to use several cloths, they are quite effective. The dog hair doesn’t fly around, it stays nicely put on the cloth which is then thrown away.
Static Guard- Buy the biggest can and spray all over fabrics upholstery and mattresses before vacuuming and or de-linting(the next tip below). Static Guard helps lift and repel the dog hair. If necessary, repeat several times to get rid of all of the dog hair.
Pledge Pet Hair Fabric Cleaner-This is a new age lint brush that is incredibly effective. It has 2 rollers and is held by the plastic holder which is also the dog hair collector. It’s important to follow the instruction for use, since the Pledge Pet hair Cleaner is not rolled one way like a typical lint brush. It is rolled side to side, preferably with pressure. This product is disposable when full, you wont even need to touch the dog hair.
