3 Easy Ways to Keep Skin Sun-Protected

Warmer days are fast approaching. This means more time spent outside in the beautiful sunshine. What this also means is more time spent reapplying sun protection. If you don’t like having to squirt out goopy sunscreen throughout the day, then don’t. There are ways to keep skin sun-protected that don’t involve the goop.

Sunscreen Spray Mists

Spray mists are an easy way to reapply sunscreen to the body. Most formulas are lightweight and require little work to apply. A couple of sprays that I like include:

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock – This is an affordable body mist sunblock that is really light and it comes in SPF 30, 70 and 100. L’Oreal Sublime Sun Advanced Suncreen Crystal Clear Mist SPF 30 – This sunscreen is also good to use on the face (spray on hands then apply to face). It contains skin loving anti-oxidants, non greasy and disappears into the skin. The product is small, 4.2-ounces, so you may need to purchase a couple of bottles to get you started.

Sunscreen Wipes

I love this form of sunscreen. During the summer I tend to go without foundation a lot but will still need to reapply protection because of sweating. Sunscreen wipes are a quick way to swipe that sun protection across the face, neck, ears and every other body part left exposed. These are not the cheapest form of sunscreen available but they are worth the money if you are on-the-go. Check these sunscreen wipes out for yourself:

Shady Day Daily Sun Protection Wipes, SPF 30 – Only contain 15 wipes per pack and costs around $14.00 or more. Tocca Stella SPF 30+ Sunscreen Towelette – These sunscreen towelettes boast sweat-resistant sun protection. Keep in mind that sweat-resistant does not guarantee that the product won’t sweat off if you perspire a lot. These come 10 to a pack for $12.00 but feature the exotic scent of blood orange. So you get sun protection that smells great.

Sunblock Sticks

Another easy to use advancement in sun protection is the sunblock stick. Like the wipes, it does not require you to rub the product in — but you can if you’d like. Here are a couple of sticks you may want to try out:

Pure & Free® Baby Sunblock Stick SPF 60 – This is made for babies so the stick is small. However, it is so gentle that mommy can use it as well. It is great for sensitive skin making it a good product for the entire family. Supergoop! SPF 30+ Sunstick – Don’t let the name fool you. This stick is not goopy. In fact, it is oil free and can reach those smaller areas like the ears and undereye area to make sure you are fully protected. The price may seem steep but it is made from plant-derived ingredients and is good for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.

These three types of sun protection give you mess-free application throughout the day. Try each out to find out which type will work best for you. Most importantly do not forget to use sun protection. I don’t want your pretty faces to burned or aging prematurely.
