Birth control helps because it makes sure that you are bleeding right, and sorta forces you to get rid of everything when you are supposed to. All the other stuff is because of early puberty, or because you weigh too much. For the period thing though, you probably did not shed more than one or two eggs during your bleed, so you are fine.
