Q: I will invite few friends over to my apartment and want to buy some good whiskies but most of my friends don't really like drinking whiskies i mean all hard alcohol but it's ok some of them will a little bit so do you think if i buy JW black will it be god for shooting and mixing?Or you think i should get something else like Crown Royal or Chivas Regal or Jim Beam Black or Wild turkey 101 or maybe some Irish im not really sure which one should i get some of my friends will be girls so they will shoot it just like we are i mean shoot whiskies so i need something good taste and mid range or better quality staff and good for mixing with cola as well asloI know it's confusing but i'm trying to choose something that will suit to any body at any day well most of them at least if you know what i meanGet a cheap liquor for shooting? ha ha ha thanks but not for me i do care about my health and i will not buy cheap crap to put inside of my body to feel like crap next morning also i much prefer spend more money and at least put premium staff in my body but it's just me
A: If you're going to shoot whiskeys, you're right to be considering blends like Johnnie Walker and Crown Royal. Though you didn't mention it, please don't shoot single malts - they're meant for sipping & enjoying.Johnnie Walker is a good choice of whisky. For mixed drinks, get the Red Label. For drinking straight, get the Black Label. You may want to have a few other bottles to give your guests some variety - the Johnnie Walker (Scotch), plus Crown Royal (Canadian), Makers Mark or Knob Creek (Bourbon), Jack Daniels (Tennessee) and Jameson (Irish).
Is this a good idea for a story? Would you read it?
Q: So, my newest idea for a story is about a princess living in Britian in the 2100s. (So yes, it takes place in the future.) However, the world is in crisis. There has been biological and nuclear war-fare, the major world powers of the twenty-first century are ruined, and the rise of Europe has occured, with England as the only super-power. The princess's father, the King of England, wants to restore stability to the war-ravaged world by strengthening monarchy in Britain and re-introducing it to Europe and the rest of the world. Her father's idol is Queen Victoria, and he sees that era as the environment in which monarchy best thrived, so he makes a royal decree that all members of the royal household are to dress, act, and speak in a Victorian manner. The princess thinks this is ridiculous, but eventually the trend catches on and corsets mix with computers in sometimes humurous situations. However, after her father's death, one of her brothers is estranged and the other takes the throne. He soon dies unexpectedly and with no heirs, and she is forced to take the throne. As the fifth child, she was never expected to be queen and feels unprepared. She must marry a man she hardly knows in order to ensure the crown's future validity by producing heirs, as well as do things politically, such as re-annexing America and re-creating a British empire, that she does not necessarily agree with. She has many children but her and her husband only remain friends. She eventually meets a man that she loves, and must balance her passions with her duty to her country. In the end, after a long and successful reign, she abdicates the throne to her eldest son and is able to marry her life-long lover and achieve happiness after years of fulfilling her duty. It's meant to be a personal account of a queen's life, and the challenging personal issues she faces, but it's also meant to explore political issues. What do you think? Is it too stupid and unlikely? Would you read it? Thanks for all the advice, and sorry this is so long! :)Sofia,Actually, I'm American through and through, but I'm a bit of an Anglophile. When I went to England, I absolutely loved it! Actually, I'm equally obsessed with all things European, so this is the perfect book for me to write.
A: I wouldn't buy it if I went in to a bookshop but if somebody had a copy and gave it to me and said....."read this and tell me what you think". I would read it all the way through :)

A: It seems fun. Especially the bit about England being the only superpower, lol.I read a book a while ago where the Irish reintroduced royalty after they were invaded by Iraq and needed someone to rally the various factions to form a rebellion. I'd be a little careful over the Victorian stuff, it seems a little over-the-top and would need serious thought even if it's only to introduce a lighter side to the story.Yes, I'd read it. Good luck with it.
