Q: So last week after exercising I started to spot and it has been that way for a week yesterday after exercising I started bleeding bright red blood with some clots in it. And today it is brown and I am having cramps.Whenever i walk it gets worse the cramps do. I am on Yaz birth control but I missed a couple of pills so I could be pregnant and I have polycystic ovaries could a cyst rupture cause this? I called my doc but everytime I call they are too busy.
A: Well it could be a few things. 1. You could be pregnant but you are usually a month or two into your pregnancy if and when you spot. 2. If you have just started Yaz than your body could be thrown off from the hormones and your period could come twice maybe even three times in a month. 3. Also because you missed some pills, that could throw off your bodies hormones and make you bleed. 4. Last reason that I can think of is if you are under alot of stress. Hope this helped. I would def still make an appt. with my gyno though.
Hi there. I am having a very heavy menstrual period. I am concerned. Should i go to the hospital.?
Q: I called the doctor and they said it was up to me. I had an IUD up until 2 months ago and it fell out. This is my 2nd period since then. I have been bleeding excessively for 48 hours now. Tampons last no more than an hour and a few times I have bled through my tampon, underwear and all over my jeans. I have ruined my pants underwear and sheets. I feel fairly weak and very tired and every time I go the bathroom the toilet water turns bright red. The blood is very red with some almost black small clots. I have horrible cramps. I'm not sure what to do, my husband is out of town until the end of the week as are my parents. I really don't want to wait til the middle of the night and not have a plan for my 3 kids. The last time I remember this much blood was after my first baby was born when I hemmoraged and they had to do an emergency D&C. Any advice? Thank you all.
A: I am in no way an expert in this kind of thing...but if I had the symptoms you are describing I would probably go to the hospital. Your doctor sounds like a doofus by the way! Why isn't he or she giving you more support and direction?Go to the hospital I think you need to be assessed by a doctor.Good luck.
