- A: Actually, from personal experience, I DID have my PERIOD the first 4 months of my first pregnancy...that's why I didn't suspect I was pregnant! The only difference in those periods was that I would have AWFUL cramping, comparable with contractions, and I was very nauseous, and very tired.It hasn't happened with any of my other pregnancies (I'm preggo with baby #4, pregnancy #5 right now), just that one. I honestly think it only happened because I was 14 at the time.But yes, I do believe it is possible to happen....I had regular, full-length (4-5 days each month, right on time, never late) very painful periods the first 4 months of pregnancy!
