What is the best pain killer for menstrual cramps?
Q: I usually use Ibuprofen to kill the pain of menstrual cramps, but i have heard that it is not too good on your stomach to take Ibuprofen. Does anyone know of something I can take to kill menstrual cramps that is good for you? Maybe something natural? Also, I always get really emotional and irritated during my period. Is there some kind of herb I can take to help with that?
A: I usually take advil.Though, a heating pad on your stomach-abdominals area will help just as well. ChamomileGingerBasilPeppermintCramp bark also help as herbs.
What are some good ways to relieve menstrual cramps?
Q: I can get them really bad. My thighs hurt, my lower back hurts, just everything hurts basically. Sometimes i'll even throw up. My mom said warm brewed tea helped her, not me so much, and I'll sometimes take 3 to 4 ibuprofen but it takes forever for that to start working. What are some other good ways to relieve menstrual cramps? (other than midol and other pills like that)
A: a heat pad works wonders. and not to be dirty, but really an orgasm helps tons. the contractions have sort of a massaging effect. if it is really bad and it is all the time, i would look into taking birth control. even if you aren't sexually active, birth control pills balance your hormones. i used to have excrutiating cramps in high school and as soon as i started taking birth control they were nearly gone.if you still get them just massage yourself with your fingers. i do that sometimes if it gets bad enough. just right above your hip bones take your fingers and push really hard in a circular motion.
I have bad menstrual cramps, the pill is not what I really want, what do I do?
Q: Once in a while I get the worst cramps ever that put me in rest mode for about an hour every time I get my period. I don't really want to go on the pill because one: I am young, and two: my family members get bad results from it. My cramps get so bad that I want to know if there is really any GOOD working cramp medicine I can use. Midol, Tylonal, Ibuprophen and Pamprin don't work. Is there anything else out there? HELP!
A: Try eating bananas, they help. Also, drink chamomile tea. Try putting something hot onto your lower stomach, like a heating pad or something of that sort. It always helps me. Just make sure to keep warm, and always apply something warm to your stomach. I also noticed that it helps when you have warm socks on, I always wear my fuzzy ones. Do that, and I'm sure you'll get some relief. Good luck. God bless.
