missed menstrual periods and danger of getting preganant?
Q: i've missed 3 months of menstrual periods ... the first and 3rd month i just passed one big clot each time with some little dark spots then it stopped ... (nothing but a few dark spots 2nd month) .. i've tested negative several times for pregnancy. i've went to two different doctors who don't seem to care or be concerned. they did find a couple small fibroids on an ultrasound ... but i nor they think the fibroids would cause me to be missing my periods (they usually cause heavier bleeding). anyway, so i can't even get my damn doctor to call me back .. she knows i'm trying to get pregnant .. and i'm worried .. what if i would get pregnant after missing 3 months of periods? would that be bad for a baby???? i know stress can cause you to miss periods .. but i thought maybe a month or 2. they say at 3 periods it's more serious. anyway, plus they did all those labs on me (testosterone, ect) and they all came back normal. if i'm missing periods from stress is it dangerous to get pregnant since i haven't shed my lining?
A: Are you married? I don't think that would be bad for the baby because your body would start feeding it the nutrients it needs.
What is the normal cycle for a menstrual period? and how many days does it normally last?
Q: I'm 19 and the end of last month I got my period but it's heavy bleeding and it's lasting 14 days is this regular? irregular? is this a symptom ? if so what is the name of that symptom? and what are some causes of periods lasting longer then they should? Does a menstrual period last 7 days (business days)?? all my other cycles of periods are about 7 days but this particular one is more than 7 and my period seems to be heavy bleeding and I don't know what wrong
A: A period can last between 1 to 7 days. it all depends on the person. When I was younger my period lasted 2 days. Now that I'm older it last between 4 to 7 days. You may also want to get checked for fibroids. Fibroids are little tumors that grows and they will make your period last longer and makes you bleed really heavy, as the tumors grow your period will get more painful and heavy. I have them and the doctors wants to take them out. Please have this test done. It will make all the difference in the world.
