My flatmate was on the pill so her period was forced into a regular pattern, when she moved in with me she started getting two periods a month; one on her date determined by the pill, and a shorter period while I was on my period. I'd say it is possible, but I'd also be looking at more likely reasons - possibly stress, such as you're moving, or her being stressed with a new person living with her, stress from other aspects of your lives, etc. etc.
