- Q: Hello, my boyfriend and I are 11 weeks pregnant. I have had a rough pregnancy so far, being sick quite a bit. Finally, as I am growing closer to the end of my first trimester, the nausea is letting up quite a bit. Tuesday morning I was cramping quite a bit but I couldn't tell what kind of cramps they were, like if they felt more like menstrual or gas. I showered and they passed so I went into work. I came home early to surprise my boyfriend and we messed around. While we were, I started to bleed. We have not had sex since I became pregnant but we have done everything else. This was the first I have bled. At first it was red so I called my OB and they took me right in. By the time I got there the blood had turned to dark brown but it was more than spotting. They took a look and the baby looked quite happy, moving all around with a strong heartbeat. They asked to see me back in the morning to have another look because I have a history of M/C (my last one I had to have a D&C at 11 weeks). When I went back the next morning, the bleeding had stopped but I was still having slight cramps. During the ultrasound, the doctor said the baby still looks great, but I was having some bleeding coming from my uterus. She said she wasn't sure why I was bleeding and ordered me on bedrest for a week. I am so scared and nervous that my little peanut won't be okay. She said it could clear itself up or it could get worse so I would need to go back in a week to have another U/S. She said it might not be anything but it could also be the start of a miscarriage. Has anyone ever experienced this before? How did it turn out? I just want my baby to be okay. I have completely stopped bleeding from what I can see and my cramps have pretty much all subsided. Advice and personal experience/research would be excellent. Thank you!!I've read a lot about placenta previa and subchorionic bleeds... Does this sound like it could be that, or can you actually have intrauterine bleeding caused from sex or messing around?

- A: relax. the penut shoudl be ok. your doctor is taking precautions and stuff...stay calm and relax. Don't stress your self out too much you wnat the baby to be relaxed and stuff. just watch movies or read or something. listen and do as the doctors says and everything should turn out ok. :)
