What happens during a woman's menstrual cycle?
Q: how long does it last?what happens?is this the time after a woman is able to conceive?where does the period fit in to the menstrual cycle.do all woman have their period around the same time of month?sorry to ask embarassing questions, but I think a guy should know whats happening to a woman so the he can understand.
A: To answer all of you questions here's what happens*Our period comes every 28-31 days. What that means is that every 4 weeks we begin to bleed. Some women are on time every time. That used to be me. I would get mine on saturdays because it was every 28 days . I have recently changed to every 30-31 days so I just have to keep track.*Our period usually lasts for 5 days. That means that we are bleeding in those 5 days. It begins by being light and the heaviest bleeding at the 2nd to third day. Some periods are lighter than others and for some women it may vary. We bleed because our egg wasn't fertilized and it needs to be deposited out of our body.*A lot of us get cramps during this time. Mine used to be so bad that I would cry. There are also a lot of changes in our hormones and we tend to be more sensitive. That is why some of us have PMS. *After our periods ends we begin to ovulate again 2 weeks later. It takes another two weeks for the egg to come down the tube. When it makes it down the uterus and it hasn't been fertilized then we begin bleeding again. *The period is the time when we are bleeding*Most women don't have their period at the same time. Sometimes I catch up to my sister or sometimes we are withing 2 weeks of each other. This is because some women's menstrual cycle is every 28 days and some are every 31 days. There are times when different factors changes it. My last period didn't come until the 32nd day. I was worried because I am always within the range of 28-31 days. Some women do tend to synchronize with each other and have it at the same time. I hope this helps and it gives you more insight.
WOMEN ANSWER UNLESS YOUR A GUY AND KNOW. ITS A MENSTRUAL CYCLE QUESTION.?
Q: Do you think it'd be a normal period to have it every 2-3 months for about 2 weeks. because that's how mine are. i was 14 when i first started and and am now 16 years old. i never had it as long before...in my first year i guess.
A: I love how everyone says two weeks is absolutely not normal, when really that's pretty common for many people (myself included) at first. When I first got mine it could not have been any more irregular. I'd get it for two weeks, nothin for over a month, have it for three days, then again in two weeks...It was awful. 14 day periods were pretty common for me but it caused a lot of other problems so I went to the doctor. I went through a few different pills before I found one brand that works for me. Eight years later, I have regular monthly 4-5 day periods. On top of all that, it wouldn't hurt to talk to your mom and see if she went through the same thing. Turns out mine did, as did her mom. I felt better knowing I wasn't alone, then I went to the doctor and got it all sorted. It's pretty common, especially in the first year or two. I've also had to take Iron to supplement the blood loss. You might need to do the same thing. Go to the doctor! :)
menstrual cycle problems. help?
Q: okayy here's what has been going on with me. I've never been on birth control. I have always had a regular period, until may. this is how my dates were.may15.june3.july 19august 28october 8november 12december 18.my last two cycles were 36 days. is it normal to have a 36 day cycle & still concieve?.also does the fact that i get excrutiating period pains play a part? Me and bf do it often* for about 5 months now & no luck.any HELPFUL suggestions/explanations? thanks guys !
A: Honey, I highly suggest getting some progesterone bloodwork done so you can eliminate all possibilities. You may be getting your periods but not ovulating so the bloodwork will definitely shed some light on what's going on inside you.My mom used to miss her period for 2 months at a time. This is why she didn't realize she was pregnant with me until 4 months later! I'm also irregular but Clomid put me back on track.
