- A: Your cycle is all regulated by hormones, which are in flux right now because of the stopping of breastfeeding. Other things can effect this too -- being on The Pill, being very stressed, diet, increase/decrease in exercise etc. It may correct itself in a few months or may not. Tell your doctor about all of the above factors so that he/she can help determine your next step. In the meantime, be sure to take iron supplements to keep from becoming anemic (the excessive amount of menstraul blood lost can make you anemic.) Best wishes.

- Q: I was wondering if it's true when people say to be extra careful to get pregnant right after you have a baby? My husband and I have used the "pull out" method for 5 years, and it never failed us. I know you can get pregnant from pre-ejaculation, but I never did. I do not do well on hormonal birth control, (I ended up in the hospital with my last one!), so as a result, we have continued to try the pull out method. I am breastfeeding, which may cause my menstrual cycle to not come all together, but I am now so paranoid that I am pregnant again.Any comments? Have any other mommies also been paranoid?
- A: my husband used that method and thats how i became a mommy lol. im currently in your position right now. i am paranoid also. i breastfed for a month.....and havent had a period still. my son is 4 months old now.. the first few times after i healed i didnt use protection but now i do. but i have no symptoms of pregnancy like i did b4. you never know tho i would most defenently take a p test. but yes breastfeeding does stop periods. you have a better chance of it being breastfeeding causing it. but if you get to stressed over it i would definently take a test. i hope i helped.
