Why did i have this nightmare? – serious (For 10pts)?

Q: It started out w/ me and about 4 hippies – (not my type of nice hippies thought) We were sitting around in a room, ready to do drugs and drink ourselves silly.There was an ottoman that had a few pieces of demonic relics laid out on it. One of those was a velvet red cross! I never did associate it with God or Jesus, i knew it was devil related.I went ahead and touched everything and then when i touched the cross – my hand got sucked in! I woke up and my left hand was paralyzed – it felt like my hand was being sucked into my mattress. I felt i couldn’t breath and tried to pull my hand out but couldn’t. I then yelled out Jesus’ name 3 times and my hand was released. A couple minutes later my nose started bleeding.I couldn’t fall asleep afterward – all i could do was pray and pray and invoked Jesus’ name!I woke up w/ a massive headache from the lack of sleep and stress. My background: I’m a Catholic, but w/ liberal views. I do go to mass every week, and pray often. I think i would be somewhat spiritual.I have been under loads of stress lately. My husband got laid off. I’m 27 and 14 weeks pregnant, with a healthy baby – but i’m working full time – and have to deal with loads of silly cows here at work daily. I LOVE translating dreams! let me tell you what i think your’s was about…Being under such stress will certainly increase your chance for nightmares, as does all the hormonal chaos due to your pregnancy.You say that your a catholic with liberal views. The relics represent your Catholicism. The 4 hippies represent your liberal viewpoints. The number 4 is closely tied with a nuclear family. The fact that the relics were demonic AND your plans to drink and do drugs with these hippies represent your present stressful family situation.That’s the setup and the symbolism associated with it. Now, as far as your hand being sucked into the cross…First of all, you most likely were sleeping on your hand. As you began touching those relics with your hand in your dream, you became more aware of your hand. When you touched the demonic red velvet cross (which is obviously the most disturbing relic as you don’t mention any of the others) you became fully aware of the pain in your hand and it manifested in the dream! Immediately you woke up and, voila, your hand is in pain.Sitting or laying on your hand or foot makes it numb; you cant really move your hand or your fingers, i know cause it happens to me all the time. What happened next was psycho-somatic, you thought your hand was possesed or something and shouting Jesus’ name was a placebo effect that made you think you could free your hand and it did.Furthermore, nosebleeds are most common at winter’s end, at night, from stress and from physical breaking of the nose tissue. You match all three criteria except the last.Lastly, the thought of whether or not the Devil is out to get you in your sleep sounds like your subconcious trying to distract you from the very real problems you have ahead of you in your life. Just as I would never allow a bully to torment my pet lizard, I’m sure God would never allow the Devil to torment a pregnant wife like yourself. Dont worry, you gave yourself this dream.
