WWE Smackdown 8-26-11 Results

Bret “The Hitman” Hart came out to a roaring Calgary crowd. He announced that since Teddy Long couldn’t make it tonight, Triple H has allowed Bret Hart to be the GM of Smackdown for the night. He announced that on the upcoming Tuesday night special “Super Smackdown”, Randy Orton will take on Mark Henry for the championship. Christian then came out and said he blames Bret’s friend Edge for losing the title at Summerslam. He said that he couldn’t concentrate after the things Edge said to him and he lost his championship at Summer Slam. He then pointed out that as a former champion he gets a rematch for the title, and he wants it at Super Smackdown. Bret said that Edge gave Christian great advice, and that Christian has become an embarrassment, and challenged him to grow a pair and work his way back to the top like a man. Christian countered with accusing Bret and Edge being the embarrassment, for not being able to let go of their former careers, and of resenting Christian for being the only relevant Canadian. He then gave Bret a court order indicating that no WWE superstar shall receive a World Title Match before he does. Bret agreed that Christian would get his match, but it would be a steel cage match. Christian objected, but Mark Henry came out and Christian snuck out and left ringside as Henry was getting into the ring. Henry said that he still is dealing with disrespect after being with the company for 15 years, and he will get his title shot next week. He then said that he wants the winner of the cage match in a match next week. Bret asked Henry if he was trying to intimidate him, and Henry said that he doesn’t need to intimidate anybody. At this point Sheamus came out. He compared Henry to a bull Sheamus grew up around, who his uncle castrated, and told Henry to not make Sheamus do that to him. He then got in the ring and after dodging a clothesline from Henry, knocked the big man out of the ring with an axe handle to the chest.
