The Muskegon office of the American Red Cross is also in need of community volunteers. The most common volunteer opportunities involve coordinating and assisting in area blood drives. Nevertheless, the American Red Cross offers other opportunities as well. One such opportunity is that of senior transportation driver. In this capacity, drivers will use an American Red Cross vehicle to transport senior citizens to and from medical appointments such as check-ups and dialysis. Additionally, individuals with clerical skills such as word processing, bookkeeping and data entry may also utilize their talents helping out in the front or back offices.
