Being a vegan doesn’t mean that you have to spend your days eating raw foods and drinking raw juices. It does however mean giving up most if not all of your favorite commercial snacks such as packaged goods like cakes and cookies and even chips. While you might have to give up some commercial snacks there are still plenty of vegan and self prepared alternatives that you can choose from. 1. Pizzas are usually prepared with milk cheese and sauce that may contain meat. These are all ingredients that vegans tend to stray away from. Pizza is delicious and does not have to be forgotten once a person becomes a Vegan. There are companies that make delicious frozen vegan pizzas for the vegan taste buds. If frozen pizza is not your thing you could try preparing a vegan pizza from scratch. There are countless recipes on the web that show you how to prepare vegan pizza. 2. Cookies are usually prepared with milk, eggs, and butter however, there are some vegan varieties of cookies that are sold on market as well as some that you can prepare on your own. Most of the Duncan Hines cake mixes are vegan you just have to omit the eggs or add in an egg substitute. There is really not much variation in taste if you choose to omit the egg from the mix. Pilsbury cake mix might be okay with some Vegans but it does state on the box that it may contain milk. Hodgson Mill creates bread, muffin, and Gingerbread mix that are vegan as well. Some Pillsbury and even Duncan Hines Frosting are vegan you just have to read the back of the labels to check for non-vegan ingredients.

4. When you are a vegan you can still enjoy your chips. The great thing about chips is that they come in many different varieties so you have plenty to choose from. As a vegan you want to stray away from chips that contain cheese or cream. Fritos, white corn tortillas chips, black tortilla chips, Stacy’s Pita chips, Baked Lays, Lays original, plain original Sun Chips, and Wise Onion Rings are just a few examples. You can also make your own kale chips using fresh kale or your own sweet potato chips using sweet potatoes. You can even make your own tortilla chips using corn flour such as Masa.
