Undetermined Love

What if I love you, but physical attraction is a barrier?

And I’m too emotionally challenged to be your stable carrier?

What if I love you, but I’m not confident of your faith in this?

What if I love you, but we cannot comfortably make a kiss?

What if I’m too far out for you to accept my ways?

What if I loved you until the end of my days?

What is love when we’re distracted?

Or is it the eye who gets attracted?

I don’t know what to believe,

But when it’s love you’re all I see.

In my dreams and in my sleep,

Strip me of my insecurities.

All my secrets will be yours for free.

But this always happens when it’s too strong,

Too comfortable to even get along.

Annoyed with the things I used to love,

But what if we’re playing the same song?

Knew this wasn’t it, knew we were wrong.

What if I love you, but our tomorrow is gone.

Ignore you, pretend like it never existed.

Too good to be true, a love so twisted.

Never thought I’d say this but I’m glad you insisted.

So difficult to read, could’ve sworn you’re encrypted.

And all my past relationships I’ve had,

We couldn’t compromise on what went bad.

See, it’s rare when I see a love so real.

We all want it, but don’t endure the pain that heals.

Next time I love, I won’t be ashamed.

Next time I love, it won’t be the same.

Next time I’ll beat my heart in your name.
