Paul tells Catherine that they make be close to finding out who Tucker’s son is. He has identified and contacted a woman that appeared in several photos with Tucker during his young and wild days. The woman had agreed to layover on her flight in Genoa City to meet and talk to Paul about Tucker. Catherine is excited and Paul goes off to Glowworm to meet the lady nicknamed “Lollipop. Lollipop is an aging Flower Child of the sixties and tells Paul who is joined by Catherine at Glowworm that she and Tucker were never lovers. She admits that she had a heavy crush on Tucker but that he was deep into another woman who is seen in the background of the photo only. Lollipop does tell them that rumor had it that Candycane the girl in question was pregnant with Tucker’s child. She never knew Candycane’s real name and does not know what happened to her.
Lil lets it slip to Neil that Sophia is having an ultrasound and that the results of some lab work might reveal which one of the Winter’s brothers fathered her child. Lil is upset with herself for her loose tongue and she pleads with Neil to not come to Sophia’s ultrasound appointment.
Jack and Genevieve meet for lunch at Glowworm and while there Jack expresses more concern about the vacant spot in his marketing department that is causing him problems with his plans for the new line of cosmetics that his sister Ashley created. Always eager to offer her ideas, Genevieve suggests a retro marketing plan full of glamour and class: Jack is enticed by her idea and hung over from their physical liaison the night before. He offers Genevieve a job as the head of marketing at Jabot and after some hesitation she accepts. Esther leaves to go meet Chloe at the pediatricians to find out why baby girl Delia has a cold. There is something more than a cold going on with little Delia.
In the meantime back at the Chancellor mansion, Catherine has come up with a plan of her own to fill the empty seat in the marketing department. She offers the job to Jill and promises her more if she Jack falls short. Jill reluctant to leave Fenmore’s demands that Catherine put the offer in writing and she accepts the position as the head of Marketing. As Jill leaves arrives with brief case in hand at her new and old office, she finds Jack and Genevieve laughing in close proximity. When she announces that Catherine has made her head of the department, Genevieve declares that she too is head of the department by order of Jack, the boss. Jill’s manicurist claws come out and she goes for Genevieve’s jugular but Jack acts as referee to keep the two ladies apart.
At the basketball court at the club, both Neil and Malcolm decide to work off some penned up anxiety on the court. The stress is heightened when the two brothers meet on the court and Neil tells Malcolm that he knows about Sophia’s doctor’s appointment and that he also plans to be there. Malcolm is really ticked off and the two play basketball rough and hard. Malcolm tells Neil that he does not know if he and Sophia will survive whatever the outcome. He also tells his brother that if his marriage survives his brothership will not. Neil reminds Malcolm that he once slept with his wife and that he forgave him but Malcolm said “that was back in the day and that he will not forgive Neil for sleeping with his wife”.
After Lollipop leaves to return to the airport, Tucker appears and asks Catherine what she is up to now. Back at the hospital the Winter brothers learn that one of them is the father of a baby boy. Lil enters with the test results and Sophia, Malcolm and Neil each wait with baited breath for her to read them. Next on the Young and the Restless…………………….
