The Promises of God Do Not Depend on Your Strength, Talent, Capability, or Skill, but God’s

Romans 4:19-21

King James Version

19And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Has GOD made you a promise, yet it seems to be taking a long time for it to come to past? Do you ever wonder if you are ever going to get that which GOD has promised you? Every believer who has ever had a word from GOD, a prophecy spoken over them, or received a vision from GOD has experienced some frustration of waiting for it to come to past. Waiting is the hardest part-ask Abraham. GOD took him out of his hometown, forsaking everything to follow someone (GOD) whom he had no clue who HE was, or if HE was going to do what HE said HE’d do. The great thing about Abraham was he wasn’t afraid to take a chance. That is what made him such a great businessman. The first thing that someone with a vision, a word, or a prophecy has to do is to make up in their mind that they receive the word from GOD. The next step is to step out on faith. After that, that is it. What is stepping out on faith? Say that GOD told you that HE was going make you successful in business. You have to pray and seek GOD about the timing of when to start. When you feel the unction to start, go for it. GOD will lead you and guide you into all the right moves, but you have to depend on HIM.

The great thing about depending on GOD is that it’s GOD’s responsibility to bring the promise to past, not ours. We just have to make sure that we are not in the way. Again, let’s look at Abraham. Abraham was promised that he would be the father of many nations. Genesis 17:5
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. GOD even promised Sarah that she would be the mother of many nations. Genesis 17: 15And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

16And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
They both had words from GOD concerning them. It took 10 years and one rush to judgment (Hagar) before it came to past, but eventually came to past. It doesn’t matter how it gets done, as long as GOD is involved. When you become impatient, you do rash things (Hagar). Sometimes these mistakes can’t be rectified. Oh, they can be rectified by GOD, but, if you rush to judgment on something that was to be handled by GOD, you should know that sometimes GOD will allow you to stew, before HE rescues you. The conflict in the Middle East is a big pot of stew created due to rash thinking. People, when GOD gives you a dream, HE is responsible for it coming to past, you just have to step into the role, and become GOD’S arms, hands, feet and voice. Because in the end, the dream isn’t for your glory, its for HIM. Like Charles Stanley of In Touch says, “Trust GOD and leave all the consequences to HIM”!
