Seniors! How to Overcome the Effects of Our 21st Century Lifestyle?

Our 21st Century lifestyle has generated many problems and tensions as the increased pace of daily life and enormous technological and social changes have gathered momentum.

So that now, vast numbers of people find themselves depleted physically, emotionally and/or mentally on a regular or even permanent basis.

If you are one of these people then you are in the right place because I will give you a blueprint for your health and healing.

Stress is the condition a lot of us are under.
Seniors may possibly suffer more from its effects than the younger generation as they have to adapt to a faster and faster world.

Although we seniors seem to live longer than previous generations, I’m not sure we’re for the most part happier and more serene.

We don’t have many of the dreadful diseases of past ages to exterminate us, or, in the Western world anyway, terrible wars or shortage of food; we have better medical treatment (if we can afford it these days), but are we really healthier in the holistic sense of the term?

By ‘holistic health’ I mean an overall well-being coming from an integration of our body, mind and emotions.

I guess the way our world is going we are forced into taking heed of this tendency towards what we might call a ‘dis-integration’ that can at times appear an almost chronic feature of many people’s life today.

And this confusion is intensified by the world apparently churning out ever faster pieces of information about unsettling changes in its obsession with keeping up with the news!

How can we be holistically healthy, feel good about ourselves, our body, be stress-free, know how to generate our well-being from within, have a satisfying sense of purpose, enjoy loving relationships, be able to handle our difficulties with some ease and having the mental clarity to achieve all this?

So, the way I see this, as far as health is concerned is:
Practice some holistic exercises in order to be holistically healthy ie physically, mentally and emotionally – and ‘have a life’, by which I mean a life that is created and run by self-generated happiness rather than a life that is too much subject to all the fluctuating external conditions that bear down upon us, not to mention of course the purely personal issues that can undermine our self-confidence and happiness and make us more subject to stress.

In other words, my purpose is to provide a means whereby people may truly begin to have a life rather than just an existence!
