Seasonal Happiness

‘Tis the season for joy and laughter

For no time dwells on angry banter.

Once a year this holiday comes to pass

Though children dream for it to last

All throughout the year and never stop

So they may hear Saint Nick on their rooftop.

The stockings hung above fires

Twinkling lights strung from wires.

Decorated Christmas trees aglow

Glistening, glistening pearl white snow.

Frosted glass of milk and warm sugar cookies

Await Santa when he delivers goodies

To the children nestling them under the tree

For hopes that upon awaking, they play with in glee.

Yes, it does get quite chilly this time of year

Though the holidays are sure to have you smiling from ear to ear,

So spread the warmth, joy, and cheer

And Christmas will be here again, next year.
