Sample Resignation Letters for Future Stay-at-Home Moms

Have you decided to quit your job to become a stay-at-home mom? Are you pregnant and do not plan to return after the baby is born? Here are some sample resignation letters for women who have chosen to become stay at home moms.

Please remember that these letters are to be written in business format. If you’ve forgotten, read “How to Write a Business Letter.”

While most companies only require a two-week notice, it is best to provide a 30 day notice if feasible. This will allow your boss more time to find a replacement. Remember that this employer will be one of your future job references, should you decide to return to work at a later date.

If You Have Recently Had Your Baby

Dear Mrs. Bosserville,

I have truly enjoyed working for Happy Hotdog Company. It has been a tremendous blessing in my life, and I am very grateful for the employment experience I have gained here.

After carefully considering this decision, my husband and I feel it is best that I stay home with our new baby. I will truly miss working here. I am blessed to have been part of the Happy Hotdog team.

My last day of employment will be February 28th. I will be sure to complete all of my projects. I will thoroughly clean my office and follow necessary protocol. If I can be of assistance in any way, please let me know.
