New York’s Finest: An Event Review

New York’s Finest: An Event Review

An AMAZING time was had by all who attended the performance of New York’s Finest: The Leading Men of Broadway on September 16, 2011 at the Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood, CA.

David Burnham, leading man of Broadway’s Light in the Piazza, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Best Is Yet To Come, and Mostly Broadway, was totally on top of his game. A truly capable vocalist, he proved to also be a phenomenal entertainer.

ACE Young, leading man of Broadway’s Hair and Grease, offered not only exceptional vocals, but a whole lot of humor to the event as well.

Levi Kreis, leading man of Broadway’s RENT, One Red Flower, and Last of the Honky Tonk Angels, gave a stupendous production that not only offered excellence vocally, but heart and soul in his presence and communicative styling.

Brandon Victor Dixon, leading man of Broadway’s The Color Purple, The Lion King, House of Flowers, and The Scottsboro Boys, offered a somewhat shy and bashful innocence as he delivered his amazing vocal stylings.

And Frenchie Davis, host of the evening, and leading lady of Broadway’s Dreamgirls and Ain’t Misbehavin’ gave not only outstanding vocals, but humor, joy, and a blast of entertainment every time she took the stage.

Over all, this was a night to remember. Put together by producer Chris Isaacson, this is a program event that I truly wish would have a regular home to show every weekend. I know that it would be highly successful. Regardless, I was truly thrilled to have been at the famous Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood this night, and know that if there is another opportunity to see and experience another event like this one, I will be there.
