Calamus
Calamus is known as a natural stomach treatment, as well as helping to end digestive disorders, bronchitis, sinusitis, arthritis, and a number of other ailments. The origins of calacmus’ effects are not understood very well, but doctors think it may cause relaxation of muscles, which somehow translates to assisting stomach pains. It has yet to be conclusively proven, but calamus is though by some to be a prime natural stomach treatment because it can assist with many stomach issues such as gas, stomach upset, ulcers, and resulting appetite loss. Medicinal properties specifically come from the root, and calamus can be purchased in supplemental form.

Eating large amounts of calamus will probably induce vomiting, as your body attempts to protect itself from harmful toxins. Pregnant or nursing women should never take calamus for any reason. You should avoid using calamus as a natural stomach treatment if you take depression or sedative medication, among other medications. It should be noted that calamus is more of a last resort or experimental treatment for stomach issues, as it is no longer formally recognized as a stomach treatment in the United States, despite compelling evidence to suggest it’s worth.
