The moon – Oh so shy,
behind the Clouds does lie!
Now slowly does she peep,
to see her face in the waters deep.
The Earth in Jealousy so very green,
Is prettier far than ever seen.
To capture her in this image bright,
the Clouds flash streams and streams of light.
The sky disapprovingly grumbles;
and the frightened Moon behind the Clouds tumbles.
The Clouds unmindful, shower Earth with Pearls;
Enough to decorate a dozen pretty girls
Happy now she’s spurned the moon;
Earth smiles and poses for her pictures soon.
