Is Lindsay Lohan Turning Her Life Around? Plus Other Celebs Who’ve Beaten Similar Struggles

Lindsay Lohan could be on her way to getting her life back on track. In the first good news we’ve heard in regard to the 25-year-old’s legal troubles and personal drama, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner seemed to be pleased with her progress recently.

Lohan, who is on probation for drunk driving and theft convictions, completed her court-ordered c ommunity service and therapy sessions on time, prompting the judge to say, ” Miss Lohan , you have actually done your work, and not only done it, but done it early.”

The actress was dressed conservatively and, for once, has seemed to make a concerted effort to satisfy the requirements set upon her for her wrongdoings. We sincerely hope for Lindsay’s sake that she becomes one of the few to win the battle against herself. So many celebrities have had tragic endings to their life story, and we’d hate to see the woman who was such a cute freckle-faced little girl in Disney’s “The Parent Trap,” end up on that dead end road.

The “Mean Girls” star has been in and out of both rehab and jail since 2007, but there is still hope that she can turn things around.

Drew Barrymore is one celebrity who famously turned her life around. Her mother took her to Hollywood parties when she was just a child, and she started drinking when she was just nine years old. She spent three stints in rehab by the age of 13 , but eventually emerged a successful actress, film director, screenwriter, producer and model.

Actor Robert Downey, Jr. , was the face of trouble and drug addiction in Tinsel Town during most of the 90s, and into the 21st century. He was in and out of jail, and was said to be addicted to cocaine and heroin. His last drug bender was said to be in 2003, and he finally realized he had to stop before it was too late.

Downey has since gone on to a successful comeback career in several blockbuster films, including “Iron Man.”
