Hunting Ghosts in the Spring

One of my favorite hobbies to do during the spring time is paranormal investigating. This is also known as ghost hunting. It doesn’t have to be Halloween to capture evidence of ghosts. In fact, a paranormal investigation can be conducted any time of the year. I prefer spring time because the temperature is just right and outdoor investigations can be included. It’s not nearly as cold and you don’t have to get bundled up, since ghost hunting is done mainly at night.

This spring I plan to revisit some locations I’ve been to before because I have new information on those places. For example, the Haunted Forest in Pasadena, CA apparently had KKK gatherings and Satanic worship occurring there. So I’m going to use that information to see if I can get any new evidence. I also plan on doing some research of some new places outside of the Valley, such as Black Star Canyon in Orange County, CA and The Hollydale Mental Asylum in Downey, CA. Both places have a dark history and I’m going to find out the truth behind them.

Since I have been doing serious Paranormal Investigations for about 3 years, I won’t be needing to spend a huge fortune on equipment this year. I have my digital recorder and EMF detector, (which are very vital to a ghost hunt), and I have a digital night vision camcorder along with a temperature sensor to measure the weather. I also have my Flip HD camera to capture any visual evidence. One thing that I might buy is something called a MEL meter. This measures electromagnetic fields, the temperature, and has an infrared light. It comes to around $110.00, but it’s worth it since it’s three ghost hunting tools in one.

Doing the research and planning for these hauntings usually occurs during the week. The paranormal investigations usually happen near or on the weekends. All together, they take about a week to prepare. Since I love to dig up as much research as I can on a haunted place, that part usually takes about 3 days. The more you know about where you are going the better your chances are of having a successful ghost hunt.

I plan for everything to go well this spring. I think I will have new evidence at my revisitations and I think the new sightings will definitely be worth checking out more than once. Wish me luck!
