Zen Cart is an open source shopping cart designed for e-commerce. The software is designed to give you product types for easy organization as well as categories. Although there is not a simple way to remove a specific product type, you can remove the category of products if you have organized them properly. Removing the category can be done in a quick few steps, taking you only a few minutes to accomplish. Zen Cart is free to download for anyone that needs an e-commerce shopping cart.
Step 1
Log into the administrator section of your Zen Cart.
Step 2
Click “Catalog” and “Categories/Products” from the menu.
Step 3
Scroll down the list until you find the category you want to delete. Click the red “X” on the same line as the category.
Step 4
Click “Delete” on the window that pops up. Everything under that category is now removed.
Tips
Verify that you want to delete everything in the category before you do so. There is no way to reclaim the information that is deleted, so you will need to recreate anything you need.
