Glenn Beck: Catholic, Mormon, Jew, Now Satanic Cult Leader?

COMMENTARY | Bill Keller, the leader of liveprayer.com, may have called it right in regard to Glenn Beck. He is calling for a boycott of the Christian TV network after several prominent Christian leaders declared their support for Beck’s campaign.

“It is absolutely ridiculous for a supposed Christian TV Network, that purports to be propagating the gospel, like TBN, with major Christian figures like John Hagee and David Barton, to be supporting and advocating for a member of a satanic cult,l” Keller said, according to Christian Post. “It is sad to see the largest Christian TV network and several supposed Christian leaders become modern day Judas’ by giving credibility to the proud member of a satanic cult who is exploiting the love Christians have for the Jewish people and the land of Israel.”

Though it’s a rare day for me to agree with someone like Keller, I think he might be right on with most of what he stated. Beck has no problem exploiting anyone he can in order to get ahead. Though I don’t believe he is a member of a satanic cult, he does exemplify true evil. Here’s why.

Beck’s days might be numbered, but he’s going to make the most of his time in the spotlight while he can. Beck was raised Roman Catholic, but in 1999 he converted to Mormonism in order to marry his wife.

His reason? According to Washington City Paper, Beck said, “I apologize, but guys will understand this. My wife is, like, hot, and she wouldn’t have sex with me until we got married. And she wouldn’t marry me unless we had a religion.”

Beck seems to choose his religion based on whatever will suit his needs at the time; his current stint in Israel is proving that once again. Several months ago he was seen in Israel wearing a yarmulke cap, as he decided to take his campaign there in order to gain support of his event called “Restoration of Courage,” which he claims is “a real Christian event.”

Beck is, once again, making an embarrassment of himself as he attempts to profess what is best for the Jews by using possibly the only talent he has. Beck is obviously able to speak and draw a crowd, and the Jewish community has not had someone who can articulate in the charismatic way he can. What he is actually saying, though, is making many Jews quite uncomfortable, and some are now finding themselves full of contempt.

The rising costs of everything in Israel, including housing, resulted in hundreds of thousands of Israelis protesting in the streets. On Beck’s online show last week, he used some of the same rhetoric that he’s used in America. Your Jewish News reports he called the protesters communists, from the “far left” and their demand for higher income taxes on the wealthy was evidence that they “hate the rich.”

Perhaps Beck doesn’t know that most of the Israelis are a lot smarter than the ultra right-wingers in America. There is far greater support for the protesters’ ideas across Israel, such as increasing construction and establishing anti-trust laws. Beck may have burned himself with this one as Israelis eyes open to the truth about him.

It is obvious to most that the only true God Beck worships is the almighty green one. He’ll do whatever it takes to fulfill his selfish needs, and it won’t be long before he is laughed out of another country. Perhaps when Beck takes a look in the mirror, he really will begin to see the angry red eyes and horns of the devil.
