Funny isn’t it, how one minute you’re standing on line in a store and next thing you know, you’re reading a US Weekly and swear the folks at USW have a sixth sense, otherwise, how would they know, you had just been asking yourself, “I wonder what the girls of Sunnydale are up to, ” and there they are, covering the pages of USW, and your questions have all been answered.
Supermom Buffy
Well, according to the Fall Special Edition of US Weekly, Buffy, aka Sarah Michelle Geller will be debuting her new show, “Ringer,” on September 13 on the CW. As only Buffy, sorry, Sarah could, she’ll be playing not one, but two people in her new show, twins, Bridget, a druggie and Siobhan, a New York socialite. Apparently Siobhan disappears and her Bridget steps in and pretends to be her sister. This should be interesting.
In real life, Buffy … ooops, Sarah, and hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. have an almost two-year old daughter, Charlotte. Dare I say that Siobhan looks every bit as young, sassy and mysteriously hot as Buffy ever did.
Auntie Dawn
Buffy’s little sis, Dawn (aka The Key) aka Michelle Trachtenburg, told US Weekly that she loves pretending to be the bad girl and apparently this season she guest-stars on Showtime’s “Weeds” as a bad girl pot dealer/phone number stealer. Even as cute little Dawn, she was a kleptomaniac, but a cute one. Well Dawnsky is now 25, and like her sister, Buffy, you would likely say she was just The Key a few months ago; she hasn’t aged a bit.
Willow in the Wings
No Summers girl update would be complete without Willow Rosenberg aka Alyson Hannigan aka Lily on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.” The show left off with Lily and her “HIMYM” hubby, Marshall learning they were prego. They pick up where they left off on CBS on September 19. In real life, Alyson and her real life hubby, Alexis Denisof (former Vampire Slayer Watcher, Wesley Price of Buffy and Rouge Demon Hunter of Angel) have a beautiful daughter themselves. US Weekly had a great photo of Alyson playing with 2 year old Satyana at a playground in Malibu. I wonder how close that is to Sunnydale.
I know one thing, my DVR is going to be full this fall. I’ll be watching the girls of Sunnydale, and of course I’ll be watching David Boreanaz aka Angel in the “Bones” season opener with Emily Deschanel this fall on Fox starting November 3rd.
