From the start it seemed that J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake were the ones to beat, however, who would have thought that Rob Kardashian would be alongside them in finals as a potential winner? Here is a look at each celebs chances of winning, and why they might be edged out.
Ricki Lake
Strength: She is such a pleasant personality, and really has a desire to improve. Lake is also a natural on the dance floor, with the ability to make great lines and shapes. It also does not hurt to have Derek Hough as a partner, since he always seems to pull off sweet magic in almost every dance that he choreographs.
Weakness: Nerves seem to play a part in her routines, not so much out of fear, but out of wanting to live up to expectations.
Why She Might Win: How can you not love her progress?
Why She Might Be Edged Out: If by any chance she drops the performance level (especially in the crucial free-style) then J.R. or Rob could make a strong comeback.
Rob Kardashian
Strength: The underdog has proven himself to be just too adorable for words, and has taken his ample booty from a road block to a major asset (no pun intended.) Plus, Rob has this eagerness to learn that really makes you want to root for him.
Weakness: Nerves and a slight lack of rhythm (which has improved) still make some of his moves a little stiff. Thank goodness he knows how to shake what his mama gave him.
Why He Might Win: Again, sometimes the underdog really does come out and surprise you.
Why He Might Not: There is still a favorable amount of people that cannot separate Rob from other members of his family, which is a shame.
J.R. Martinez
Strengths: J.R. is a born charmer who excels both technically and performance wise. Plus, even without his great back story, J.R. is just one heck of a guy.
Weakness: A recent ankle injury might keep him from being on his A-Game, which is crucial in the finals.
Why He Might Win: Should you even ask?
Why He Might Not: If his free-style disappoints, then J.R. might see Ricki or Rob take the mirror ball.
