National Wildlife Refuge To Hold It’s Fall Festival – October 1, 2011

Fall Festival – National Wildlife Refuge:

The Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge is holding its fall festival on October 1, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friends of the Potomac River Refuges and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are hosting the festival, the theme of “America’s Great Outdoors-In your own backyard.”

Location: The Occoquan Refuge, on Dawson Beach Road, Woodbridge, Virginia – off of U.S. 1.

The Events Will Include:

1) Presentation by Reptiles Alive – 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

2) Presentation by the Virginia Raptor Conservancy – 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

3) Photography Workshop -10 a.m.

4) Photography Walk 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.

5) Hayrides every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

6) Other events will be going on throughout the day: native plant sale, and kid’s

Activities.

12) Prince William County Park Authority & the Virginia Department of Game and

Inland Fisheries

No Dogs Are Permitted On The Refuge.
