We all know which celebrity couples really make us cringe. In this article, I will be discussing 4 couples that are the most appalling. For two of these couples the age difference is the major offender and the other two couples are just plain gross. Courtney Stodden & Doug Hutchinson
Hutchison and Stodden’s marriage has drawn the shock and ire of the American community for several reasons, but mainly due to their 35 year age difference. Other reasons are the fact that Stodden is a minor and they are so publicly affectionate. Their public affection really creeps me out. Stodden looks like she is under the influence of some strong narcotic during these “romantic” demonstrations.
“We never anticipated the world to give us such a whirlwind of attention and be so fascinated with our situation,” Stodden said. Sorry Ms. Stodden, but you are sorely mistaken. We are not fascinated by your situation, we are disgusted!
Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are the creepiest celebrity couple in my opinion. You never know what Spencer is really doing with all those crystals and Heidi’s face and body seems to get worked on every month. This couple, known by many as ‘Speidi’, comes across as highly unintelligent, entitled and just plain creepy.
Speaking of creepy, how much does Spencer’s peach-fuzz mustache disturb you? Is that even a match for what Heidi’s face looks like now? Goodness!
The public’s disdain of this creepy couple finally led to the end of their reality TV careers. I hope they have managed their finances properly, because I don’t see a big payday coming up for these two anytime soon.
Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise
In early 2005, Holmes began a highly public relationship with Movie Star Tom Cruise. Just two months after they first met, Holmes and Cruise were engaged. This whole relationship seemed odd and forced from the beginning.
First, there was Cruise’s couch jumping incident on Oprah, proclaiming his love for Holmes. Secondly, Holmes seemed almost brainwashed by Cruise and his unyielding devotion to The Church of Scientology.
This led Holmes to convert to the religion of Scientology. However, Holmes was brought up as a Roman Catholic, but joined the Church of Scientology shortly after the couple began dating. What made her change her faith so quickly?
Something doesn’t add up and the public knows it. This has led ‘TomKat’ (especially Katie) to avoid the public spotlight and has had a strong negative effect on Katie’s career. The days of Blockbuster movies like Batman may be a thing of the past for Holmes.
Crystal Harris & Hugh Hefner
84-year-old Hugh Hefner is engaged to Playboy playmate, Crystal Harris, 24. If the age difference between Stodden and Hutchinson didn’t bother me enough, this one sure does. For all I know Hugh is a great guy, but come on! This guy is old enough to be her grandfather (maybe even great grandfather). This goes beyond having a daddy-complex. This is as creepy as it gets!
I feel this negative public opinion led Crystal Harris to walk away from their engagement. She must have realized it would be hard to live your entire life known as a no-good gold digger. Good for her!
