The famous boardwalk, gambling and Taj Mahal casino and resort are just a few of the attractions that draw people to Atlantic City, New Jersey. There are a variety of activities to enjoy on your vacation to the seaside city, which also has a few options for the visiting golfer.

Golf

Atlantic City offers 10 golf courses in the immediate area as of 2010. Golf’n Gamble even combines the cities biggest attraction (gambling) with a day on the green.

Weather

Atlantic City has a continental climate. During the winter the average temperature is 30 degrees, and July is the warmest month with average around 74 degrees.

Location

Atlantic City is located 100 miles south of New York City and 60 miles east of Philadelphia.

Transportation

Atlantic City is accessible by train, bus, car and plane. The Garden State Parkway South is the main road into the city.

Accomodations

Comparable to a mini Las Vegas, Atlantic City has a number of hotels that are more than just sleeping quarters. Gamble, be pampered, eat, relax and swim in one area at such hotels as Caeser’s or Harrah’s Atlantic City. Remember you must be 21 to enter the casinos.

Atlantic City’s biggest appeal is its famous casinos. Located along the Atlantic Ocean, it is also popular for The Atlantic City Boardwalk that combines nightlife with shops, arcades and cafes.
