Singer/songwriter, now referred to as Anthony Q, has resurfaced to stake his claim in the world of R&B/Pop music. Originally, his talents were discovered on the popular MTV series, Making The Band. Unexpectedly, the shelf life of Day 26, was cut short and eventually the phenomenal boy band dissolved. Typically, when a “boy band” dissipates, there always seems to be a relentless band member that refuses to give up. Its apparent that Anthony Q is that guy. He’s going for the gusto with this solo career thing, and with listeners attached to his progression, it’s almost necessary that he finds he way back to the top.
Anthony Q says, he appreciates the level of freedom he has as a solo artist. With creative control over his work, Anthony Q now makes music that accurately depicts the artistic, yet liberated side of his brand. After spending most of 2011 in the studio, he now has two singles that he’s ready for the public; “Melody,” and “See Me.” He debuted, his single “Melody,” at an exclusive location over the weekend.
The single release party was hosted at Josephine’s lounge in a metropolitan city of Atlanta. Fans gathered in abundance at the venue to show their support for Anthony Q’s latest launch. He describes the song “Melody,” in two ways. One side avails the sweet and sexy new single as it speaks to the intimacy and appreciation of a woman’s body. However, Anthony Q explains its meaning in another light. “It depicts the relationship that I have with my music, and how it affects me personally.”-Anthony Q
The new song was performed live Sunday night, and the ladies were compelled at his sensual serenades. “Melody,” surpasses any expectations the industry may have placed on Anthony Q. His vocal abilities exemplify perfection, while subliminally making a statement that he is fully prepared to maintain his rank, as the soulful musician he sought out to be. Anthony Q also blessed his listeners with another song, that he presented in acapella form. “Medicine,” which was equally as hypnotic. This bonus performance perpetuated his addiction to love, and how sharing passionate moments with “her,” is what he can’t live without.
Still working on new music, Anthony Q plans to release an album Spring 2012. You can look forward to seeing and hearing more from the songwriter,as he pushes music that continue to impress.
