Have you tried your hand at answering questions on Yahoo!’s own Questions and answers site? You should! Some people have legitimate questions being asked. I did actually find a few very good questions… okay they were questions that were easy for me to answer and had some substance behind them. They are real people with real problems that asking the entire world publicly for random stranger’s answers are the only way to go!
Don’t get me wrong, I think asking questions and attempting a quick answer is a great idea! But really… when it comes to something serious I don’t think Yahoo! Question and Answers is going to be the way to go. If your dog has just eaten a ten pound triple fudge cake, with extra chocolate on top; it’s probably safe to say that the advice you need is, Take your dog to the vet… like NOW!
If you are looking for the answers to life then this question will surely be the key that unlocks the mystery!” Is life an illusion that our mind creates?” Wow… Mind blown. I don’t know about you, but that is some hardcore stuff right there! “What is wrong with me?” Perhaps… asking medical advice on a site that allows its very innards to be bloated with people asking fake questions and questions that obviously need to be asked to a medical doctor!
It makes me think, is there really anyone watching or moderating some of these sites? They let anyone ask anything, even if it’s plainly a “troll” question post on Yahoo! Questions and answers site. I think that the people who have real questions are getting drowned out by these… yahoos’s! See what I did there? Cleaver, isn’t it?
How about some moderation people? I understand that anyone can ask questions there, there doesn’t seem to be any rule or regulation on the questions you can ask… and even though I’m trying so hard to answer the real questions, sometimes I can’t tell what is real and what a fake question in Yahoo! Question and answers is. If Yahoo! Questions and answers are looking for moderators for hire, I’m your girl! Of course I won’t want to be paid in stars and points…
Now for some real questions that I found to be honest and reasonable to be asked on a public online network such as Yahoo! Questions and answers. Let’s see… Let’s see… Ah yes, here’s one.” Does it bother you when Christmas music is played in November?” My answer is. Heck yes.
