An Eternal Question

A question I have swirling within my mind,
As I travel each day towards my death,
Curiously I ask, what will I find
At the moment when I breathe my last breathe.

Will I meet my creator as I believe,
Where peace and love surrounds my very self,
Or will I not be able to perceive,
Just a piece of meat on the coroner’s shelf.

Will my spirit return from whence it came,
Among others in the Kingdom of God,
Or will its destination be the same
Buried with my carcass under the sod.

If I am wrong I will never find out,
But if I’m right then I chose the right route.
