A Brief History and Review of the Nintendo

Among many of the companies that have built consoles over the years, Nintendo is one of the biggest names in history. Most are well aware of the fact that Nintendo was responsible for creating the very first gaming system, the NES. Nintendo’s system became a huge success and within a few short years the company had created two more systems, the SNES and the Nintendo 64, which helped to not only further technological advancement, but create an atmosphere of entertainment for people across the globe.

One of the most unique systems:

Nintendo has always outdone itself with its strange-yet-functional controller designs. The most recent example of this is the Wii’s rectangular controller, designed intentionally to be hand-friendly for long term use. Similar to that of the Wii’s abnormal and striking controller, the Nintendo 64 had an extremely exclusive three pronged controller composition that awed all who played with it…to this day another controller like it has not been reproduced.

The Unusual Aspects of the N-64:

According to Adriel, a long time Gamer and Science-Fiction extraordinaire: “Despite the fate of many other systems, the Nintendo 64 remains one of the most cherished and sought after systems in America today. Perhaps that’s why it’s becoming harder and harder to find an inexpensive Nintendo 64 to call your own. In recent years, unlike other systems that have been on the market, (such as the original PlayStation) the N-64 is one of the few consoles that have, and are, gaining value over time. In fact It wouldn’t surprise me if the price of a Nintendo 64 in great condition skyrocketed to outrageous proportions over the next ten to fifteen years.”

More reasons to love the Nintendo:

Originally made in Japan and quite possibly the most influential of any computer based technology, the Nintendo certainly takes the cord when it comes to advancements in entertainment. In addition to creating my favorite system, the N-64, Nintendo has inspired an entire era of people to enter into a world of science-fiction, imagination, entertainment, satisfaction, and creativity. What a concept!

What you should do knowing this information:

I would highly recommend playing the Nintendo. Some of the best games for the N-64, in my opinion, are Tetris, Gauntlet, Jetforce Gemini, Yoshi’s Island, Pokemon, and Mario Party…but there were nearly 400 games released for this specific system, so I encourage you to go try out some titles!
