5 Celebrities on Google Plus

Facebook and Twitter are so 2010. These days, if you want to be hip and on top of things, you spend your allotted social networking time on Google Plus. The biggest stars in entertainment have figured this out, which is why celebrities on Google Plus are popping up all over the place. A celebrity Google Plus account offers just one more way for you to stalk your favorite star. Just don’t expect to be included in your favorite celeb’s circle.

Alyssa Milano

After acquiring a disappointing 45,000 likes on Facebook, Alyssa Milano decided to enter new territory by becoming one of the first celebrities on Google Plus. Already, over 40,000 people have the actress in their circles. This is impressive, given that Google Plus still has far fewer users than Facebook. Milano’s page is unique, featuring charity news and silly pictures of gorillas.

Soulja Boy

Soulja Boy’s profile dubs him a “YouTube phenomenon” and the “youngest recording artist ever to write and produce a #1 hit.” The hip hop artist mainly uses his Google Plus account to post pictures and videos from recent performances, although he did share his gamertag for Playstation 3.

Mark Zuckerberg

That’s right, the founder of Facebook has joined the ranks of celebrities on Google Plus. When Zuckerberg’s profile first went up, most people figured it was a fake. Zuckerberg was genuinely surprised by all the controversy surrounding his Google Plus page. He sees no problem with using the services of a competitor. The funny thing is, although Mark Zuckerberg hasn’t added a single post, he already is included in 500,000 circles.

Ashton Kutcher

You have to love anyone who would pose with a big red nose for his profile picture. Although he doesn’t add updates as often as other celebrities on Google Plus, Asthon Kutcher is definitely worth following. His page is home to intriguing conversations about the Beastie Boys as well as several hilarious videos. Ashton Kutcher’s motto? “Making stuff since 1978.”

Dolly Parton

If you want some insider info on country star Dolly Parton, be sure to stop by her Google Plus page. Parton’s profile features a lot of video interviews and cute status updates such as ” I love bald men. Just because you’ve lost your fuzz, don’t mean you ain’t a peach. ;-) ” She wants fans to remember that there is “a brain underneath the hair and a heart underneath the boobs.”
