Youngest Screen Actor Guild Award Nominee to Arrive in Toddler Seat

Everybody loves four-year old Aubrey Anderson-Emmons on ABC’s “Modern Family,” where she is known for her role of Lily. There may be lots of limos at the Awards, but only her stretch limo will have its star riding in a toddler seat. Anderson-Emmons will also become the youngest actor ever nominated for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Award.

SAG Awards Coordinating Producer Jon Brockett said Anderson-Emmons was nominated along with the entire cast of “Modern Family” for the 2012 “Outstanding Performance by a Cast Ensemble in a Comedy Series” SAG Award. Anderson-Emmons is a series regular and has a chance to make history as the youngest award recipient for an acting performance during awards season should the cast of “Modern Family” win during this Sunday’s telecast of the SAG Awards. In addition, Anderson-Emmons has brought attention to cultural diversity as she is an Asian-American playing an adoptee with two gay fathers.

Anderson-Emmons likely will be the only award nominee at the January 29 telecast to arrive in a limo and toddler seat. If her appearance at the Golden Globes was an example, her dress will be accessorized with a coloring book and crayons along with her stuffed elephant, “Nellie.” Anderson-Emmons’ mother plans to bring popcorn and Cheerios to keep the good-natured preschooler entertained during the lengthy awards ceremony.

Aubrey Frances Anderson-Emmons was born during June 2007 in Santa Monica, California. Her mother, Amy Anderson is a Korean American adoptee so the role of “Lily” has a natural history for Aubrey. She also comes by her acting talent through genetics; Amy is a funny stand-up comedian and actress.

Aubrey loves animals, especially horses and dogs. She loves to swim at the beach and listen to her favorite musical artists. She is especially fond of the Jackson 5 and her eyes light up at the mention of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” — which she perform the dance moves and sing the lyrics with ease.
