Unusual Uses for Your Blow Dryer

It’s great when you can use one thing to do many. That being said, did you know that your blow dryer can do much more than just dry your hair? It’s a handy gadget with many purposes. It can help you feel better, fix things around the house, and much more. So, after you get your hair done, why not take the hair dryer around the house; you’ll find many useful things to do with it.

You know how fast your hair dryer does your hair; imagine how much faster you can dry your nails when you use it. Set the dryer on a low or medium speed and hold it at a comfortable distance from your fingernails. The dryer can help you do your nails quicker because you can dry them between coats.

Got dust? Your blow dryer can help blow new dust off of small things, like picture frames, knick-knacks, lamps, and more. Turn the dryer on “high” and blow dust away – but not from anything that has hot glue holding it together.

It can be challenging to get dripped wax off of a surface but your blow dryer will make that much easier. Just heat up the wax until it begins to melt then wipe it away with a cloth. In some cases, you can just heat around the bottom of the wax, then you can just remove the entire blob without having to melt it all.

Your blow dryer can also help you get sticky things off of assorted objects. Remove labels from jars or bottles, take a price sticker off of an item you’ve purchased, and even get stickers off of windows or bumpers. Heating the front of the sticker will loosen the adhesive enough to remove it. It might be necessary to heat any remaining adhesive after the sticker is gone.

So, your child has colored on the wall with crayons – again. You won’t scrub this time. Just use your blow dryer, on “high”, to heat the crayons. Be ready with a damp cloth after the crayon is heated. Just wipe it away then go hide the crayons.

Pulled a muscle? Get out the blow dryer. Lay a towel over the area and turn the blow dryer on to heat. You can easily get rid of pain from a pulled muscle, a sprain, and more. In fact, when you heat an arthritic joint, like your knee or elbow, you can diminish the pain quickly.

There are lots of ways to use your blow dryer around the house so don’t keep it hidden in the bathroom closet. It could be one of the most helpful items you own. Use it to dry your wet pet, wet shoes, a spilled drink on carpet, and more.
