Three Inspirational Bible Verses:

One of the most inspiring Bible verses, in my opinion is Revelation 3:20. The NIV version reads as follows:

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

It can be easy for even the most devout Christians to become confused in regard to doctrinal issues. For years I wondered if my parents’ belief that we are always saved once we experience salvation is true. This week, in a moment of rare clarity, the significance of this verse became clearer to me. Many years ago Christ stood at the door to my heart and knocked. I let him in and he locked the door securely. For some this may sound as though I cannot let anyone in but the opposite is true. Christ loves all of us and because he holds the key to my heart I love him as well. The day I opened that symbolic door was the best day of my life. Because he locked the door to my heart, I cannot open it again myself. Jesus Christ is not a revolving door.

Another inspiring bible verse for me is 2 Corinthians 4:17-18. The NIV version reads as follows:

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

We have all had difficult times in life. Sometimes what happens seems to make no sense. My parents did not expect their nine year old daughter to be diagnosed with cancer. None of us expected my mom to be diagnosed with cancer and lose her life four months later. When pressures of this world add up, it can be easy to focus only on the here and now. No matter what happens here, if Christ is our savior, we will be blessed in the hereafter-no sickness, no death, no bills being overdue. It will be eternal perfection.

Another inspiration bible verse for me is 1 Corinthians 3:10-17. The NIV version reads as follows:

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

This verse is important to me personally. I have been through a lot with thinking my body isn’t good enough due to the Cowden’s Syndrome and cancer issues. My body is good enough to spread God’s spirit which is inside of me as a saved Christian and in reality that is all it takes. Isn’t it amazing to realize our bodies are the vessels we have for worshipping God and leading others to Christ?
