The Kim Kardashian Wedding: 3 Creative Wedding Ideas to Borrow

So you are getting hitched, jumping the broom and tying the knot to celebrate the fact that somebody liked it and put a ring on it. Good for you, dollface. Congrats!

We’re sure that everyone in your life is full of ideas on having the perfect wedding. Now we might not know you like your Aunt Ida knows you, but we have front row seat-worthy details on the hottest wedding ticket in town. Yup, Kim Kardashian’s nuptials to Kris Humphries.

Ideas to Borrow from the Kardashian-Humphries Affair

1. Share the Spotlight.

Most brides are fans of the “I should be the only one in white rule.” After all, it’s your special day, right? Who needs anyone stealing your thunder?

Well, our favorite “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star flaunted her confidence by not only welcoming guests to wear white, but insisting on it. The elegant Montecito affair starred Kim in her Vera Wang couture gown , but also in white were her mom, bridesmaid little sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and co-maids of honor Khloe Kardashian Odom and Kourtney Kardashian.

It was a black and white affair! Many of the guests like Lindsay Lohan and Serena Williams also wore white. The effect was ethereal and lovely.

2. The Wedding Program.

Lady Kardashian Humphries’ wedding program was designed by Lehr and Black of Los Angeles. They also created her one-of-a-kind wedding invitation. When you have a 20.5 carat engagement ring you also go all out with your wedding stationery. The company has also custom designed wedding invitations for Fergie, Gwen Stefani and Khloe Kardashian. Good track record so far.

The sweetest thing about the wedding programs was not the design however. The program included a tribute to groom Kris Humphries late grandparents and Kim Kardashian’s late father, attorney Robert Kardashian. What a lovely touch. Don’t let your wedding programs be just a throwaway. Who can you pay lasting tribute to in writing?

Special note: Kim also had a heart-shaped patch from her dad’s favorite shirt sewn into her gown as her “something old.”

3. The Wedding Fragrance.

Kim K. had a special limited edition perfume created just for her wedding. The fragrance was called “Love” and she made just 799 bottles available to the public. Two hundred were for her bridal party and there were only 1,000 bottles in existence total.

You can also create a custom wedding fragrance. Find your closest essential oils place and create a mix. Maybe find antique bottles in a flea market and gift them to special guests.

Congrats again on finding “the one!”
