Thanksgiving Events 2011 San Francisco

Thanksgiving in the San Francisco Bay Area is always a special treat. We pull out all the stops in the city by the bay. And as always there is a celebration for every type of person.

For the health conscious:

On the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park the 9th annual Turkey Trot will be held at 8:30am on Thanksgiving Morning. This annual 5K run or walk takes runners through Golden Gate Park and into the surrounding neighborhoods, the perfect way to build up a hunger for the Thanksgiving Feast later in the day. For the Tourist in all of us:

Walking tours of San Francisco have become commonplace. However, Discovery Street Tours has customized a special tour just for the Thanksgiving Holiday. This 2.3 mile walk is appropriate for all levels and will take about 2.5 hours. The walk takes place on Saturday November 26th and will cost $45 dollars per person with a small meal included. The annual 54th Annual International Autoshow is running from November 19th through the 27th at Moscone Center.
