Taking the Time to Save Money!

I know that times are tough, believe me I am still trying to recover from having to take time off when my child was born (she is 14 months) and consequently my place of employment in the retail industry doing payroll cutbacks after the holiday rush. I always thought that these crazy coupon ladies were wasting their time and only buying over priced items that no one really needed anyway. I was wrong. Having a family and trying to cover all of your expenses even in a two parent is really tough so I did some research and have found a few ways that within a week you can start saving at least twenty to thirty dollars a month or more. My goal is to be as good as those people on that show TLC show Extreme Couponing tlc.howstuffworks.com/tv/extreme- couponing, but these tips have helped my family save money while my husband and I both still work full time jobs.

1. Set up a junk email: Be willing to take the time to sign up at the companies and product websites. This especially goes true for baby/infant websites. If you provide a valid email and physical mailing address they will send you free samples, coupons, and many will send you full containers of their products https://similac.com/registration; www.enfamil.com; www.beechnut.com; www.kashi.com ,www.pg.com

2. Sign up for email mailing lists: Now this one is comes with a caution because when I first started exploring these coupon and email sites, a few of them put cookies on my computer or wanted way too much personal information with no real hope of any samples. There are a few sites that I have found that are trustworthy. www.ericsfreesite.com; www.iheartthemart.com; www.rightathome.com; www.bettycrocker.com. They will email you constantly, but they are worth it just keep it monitored and spam guard.

3. Do take the time to do the store membership and rewards cards: This was something that I always passed on before, I don’t want to freely give out my information to anyone, but most companies just use this information to gauge their customer satisfaction and to help promote their sales, like many of the smaller companies that compete for that consumer who is price savvy . They will also stack coupons (letting you use their store coupons and manufacturer coupons together), and pay rewards dollars that you can use on your next purchase.
www.publix.com; winndixie.com (these two have baby clubs and other clubs that will send you coupons for their items to be free or very discounted); www.CVS.com ; www. rite-aid .com; www.walgreens.com

4. Go to major websites and sign up for free samples: I know that many of you may think that this really isnt worth the time, but it is. They not only send you free samples, that can help in a pinch or as an emergency stockpile, but they also send their coupons along with them!

5. Check social media: I mainly use Facebook , but I know that Twitter and Myspace do these also. These are some free websites that are on Facebook : SouthernSavers.com ; Free samples and freebies; Redbox; Free samples. Many companies also have promotions that if you like their page, they will send you a free sample or put you in a sweepstakes.

Now these are the sites and the resources that have worked me and my family, and I feel like im just scratching the surface of what all I can save for my family, but I promise that if you stick to these simple and easy ways to save you will see short and long terms results.
