Melting, melting, melting!
I feel like the Wicked Witch of the West,
But how I only wish for the water.
The summer sun beats down,
An enormously helpful heat, if only I was a plant.
I can’t believe my A/C went out,
It’s worse than words can say,
I want it more than money.
The heat is just unbearable.
But behold!
My life is saved,
I have finally been rescued.
The repairman has rung the doorbell.
And now I wonder:
How did my grandparents live
in a world without cooling?
