I am a big fan of many Pepperidge Farm food products, so when I came across Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Golden 3 Layer Cake, in the frozen cakes section of my local favorite grocery store, I could not resist it. I just had to buy it, try it out and write a product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!
I bought one Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Golden 3 Layer Cake for under four dollars. That was a good dessert deal. This cake has eight servings. It is a milk chocolate frosted creation. Complete with three light layers of golden cake, and in between each layer, there is a heavenly milk chocolate frosting. If you are searching for dark chocolate, it is not here, But, if you love a milk chocolate frosted yellow cake, this one will please. When I tasted this cake, I liked it. Lots of milk chocolate, rich, creamy frosting and light yellow cake. Very good. This cake can be served quickly and ready in a jiffy. It is a perfect chocolate cake for holiday parties. You can thaw it out in just an hour. You can also serve it by the slice, right out of the freezer. Just pop a slice in the microwave for a minute. So easy.
I discovered that this cake is fluffy, light and melt in your mouth good. Lots of yummy chocolate frosting makes this one a winner. While, it is not the best chocolate cake, it is worthy of a try. Especially if it is on sale. Fresh from your freezer. This dessert saves me time and money and I have to admire that. One serving has 230 calories. 80 of those calories are from fat. One serving has 9 grams of total fat, 2 grams of saturated fat, 2 grams of trans fat, 15 mg’s of cholesterol, 130 mg’s of sodium, 34 grams of total carbs, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 25 grams of sugars and 2 grams of protein.
I loved trying Pepperidge Farm Chocolate Golden 3 Layer Cake and writing a product review about it. I rate it three stars out of five stars. The ease of preparation makes this one a winner. There are better chocolate cakes out there, but this one is good. Pepperidge Farm has many varieties of frozen cakes available. Lemon, Key Lime, Coconut, Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla and more. They do put the ease in holiday desserts!
