Review: Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner

Those of you who have read my article on Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo know how I feel about the shampoo already.

You also might have noticed that I failed to mention that the shampoo and conditioner is for ‘normal’ hair. As far as I know this is the only variety available for now, but my own hair is very thick, very long, and has been colored. It’s also somewhere between wavy and curly.

But Garnier Fructis Pure Clean does the job wonderfully for me.

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner is only 92% bio-degradable instead of 94% like the Pure Clean Shampoo, but it is creamy and smells just as great as the shampoo.

Unlike the shampoo, it is thick instead of thin and opaque rather than transparent, like most conditioners. Unlike most conditioners, it doesn’t contain all those heavy chemicals and ingredients that weigh your hair down.

Most conditioners tell you to leave the conditioner in for 1-2 minutes, and I believe that Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner says the same.

I don’t do that though, and I feel like it is important to note that I leave my conditioner on for closer to 5-10 minutes while I wash my body, face, and/or shave.

What I’m getting at is that you might need to leave Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner in for a few minutes for it to work well, or you might not. Maybe I just need to do it because my hair is so thick.

Anyway, as I mentioned in the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo article, even after spending several hours in a recently chlorinated swimming pool, my hair was still soft and manageable instead of stiff and tangled.

Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner certainly had something to do with this.

While the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo bottle was hard to open for me, the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner was not. Maybe I just got a bad bottle. I don’t know. The only difference in the bottles is that the conditioner sits upside-down instead of right-side-up.

Either way, I would strongly recommend Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Conditioner (and Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo) to anyone who wants great or eco-friendly hair care.
